I don't want to start a big discussion here so pls don't repost this with a massive paragraph

Before I start this sorry for any spelling errors I'm slightly dyslexic it effects my maths more than my spelling but there may still be mistakes here and there.

I've been going through a few previews of MisAnthropony's Steven universe review and its honestly good if you're a SU fan who's open to criticism you should give it a watch its healthy to criticise the things you like

I didn't have problems with the video, I just think I disagreed with some points doesn't mean that they're invalid and I respect his opinion. The first thing I'm going to talk about is Lapis's toxicness I do agree that Lapis's behaviour was a bit toxic and she was written poorly, but I believe Lapis is really unaware of it, that doesn't make it any better but at one point he asks "Why do people ship Lapis and Peridot " and said Lapis is toxic to Peridot, I don't 100% agree yes Lapis can be toxic to Peridot at times raising the barn had Peridot litrelly say "I can't" she can't tell Lapis how she feels because of everything Lapis has been through. Lapis doesn't know that and when she offers to leave earth she says "Now WE can bring OUR whole life with us YOU me and all of OUR things" she obviously cares about Peridot and want them both to be safe its similar to the relationship between Anne and Sasha its actually better than their relationship since Lapis doesn't knowingly manipulate Peridot, people ship then because of the bond they share and how quickly they became friends and how they both show their care for one another. Lapis leaving and taking the barn was unnecessary and obviously ment to be an arc but with the cancellation of season 6 the arc was rushed and left unfinished and thats why Lapis is considered toxic by some. Most Lapidot shippers are either young children or People who are aware of how the show ruined that arc and have their own head cannons that Lapis apologied since they seem to be on good terms in SU Future. Obviously this arc wasn't done well at all but I wanted to clarify that Lapidot shippers aren't just people supporting a toxic relationship and I'll be honest it did make me slightly mad when he said so bluntly that the ship is toxic. If you believe Lapidot is toxic well I disagree with you, but with the unfished arc the show gave us and the fact Peridot was scared to tell Lapis her true feelings was never elaborated on your opinion is completely valid. In my eyes these two gems obviously deeply care about one another and thats why I ship them.

Hello there if you're reading this! A lot of people in group chats and other things have asked me why I prefer Lapidot over Amedot and don't really like seeing Amethyst and Peridot coupled but I don't mind ships like Jaspidot. Honestly I don't really understand myself either but there is just a part of me that doesn't like seeing that coupled that often. I know that there are a lot of flaws with the Lapidot ship and I am definitely pissed how they handled Lapis's arc especially since she didn't even apologise for how rude she was to peridot (Tangent warning here) something I don't see a lot of people point out or maybe it's just really obvious and doesn't need discussing, is the way peridot acted in raising the barn the whole time you can tell why she doesn't want to share her feelings with Lapis and probably does this a lot off screen. Peridot knows about all that Lapis has been through and she knows that she is responsible for some of it she feels guilty and her mind set is "I shouldn't feel bad she's been through worse" I have genuinely never seen anyone point this out not even in the show which a lot of people have that mind set I have that mind set I feel stupid when I get upset over small things because way worse things has happened to other people I can completely relate to peridot but instead of making this a good message maybe in future before we focus on Steven it gets completely ignored and suddenly everything is fine between them. I get it CNs sucks for only giving them 20 episodes I just wish we would of had some time to watch other characters sort out past issues by themselves from what they've learned from Steven in the past thus making steven think he is useless ext I talked about that on my opinion on the final. So back to my point with Amedot I don't mind if you ship it at all go ahead enjoy the ship :) but personally I just don't see it I hate using this excuse but in an interview with Rebecca she did say that Peridot admired Amethyst but Lapis was intended to be the one she got with. I don't have the direct evidence for that so if you don't believe me that is completely fair, I think Peridots admiration of Amethyst came from the fact that she was "The only crystal gem that's actually a gem" it's similar to her more obsessive thoughts about Yellow diamond but those would obviously be a lot more obsessive since she's her diamond and Peridot is basically programed to respect and obey her. I think Peridot has gotten over that feeling to respect Amethyst because she out ranked the team but doesn't mean they didn't grow a good friendship from all the time they spent since she admired her the most they spent the most time together making them have a close friendship with Lapis I see more than friendship Lapis felt comfortable enough to basically vent to peridot again we don't have proof of this other than the comics but in my guesses Lapis probably only tells her feelings to Steven and Peridot meaning they have a lot more trust in their relationship and how Peridot used to take notes of things like this to keep her happy like how she warns Amethyst about mentioning Jasper she knows that will upset Lapis and I think that's very loving of her to want to keep her happy the thing that the show messed up is Lapis never returning the same love like I said with raise the barn she's never given peridot a thankyou for being so caring unless it was off screen which is incredibly disappointing. Personally I do prefer Lapidot with all the moments we got but if you ship Amedot that's fine to and we don't need to fight over gay space rocks :)

Also don't judge me here but I have seen some Lapamedot and to be honest I found that kinda adorable haha with the two doms over this poor sub nerd it was pretty cute.
